Flexco Family Member Since: 1993
For Mark Homerding, Flexco was at first a family affair. With his mom, Darlene, working on the plant floor, Mark began his time at Flexco as a temp working in the shipping department.
After a few years as a floater, Mark was hired on full time and held positions in the Cold Heading, Tool App, CNC, and R&D departments until Flexco acquired a new company out of Australia.
Recognizing the possibility for growth, Mark jumped at the chance to do field work and installs and learn as much as possible.
“Throughout my time here at Flexco, I have taken both college classes, and hands-on machining, based on whatever job I’ve had,” Mark says. “The potential for growth was there, so I just kept at it.”
When manufacturing came to the U.S., Mark got involved and eventually became the Manufacturing Supervisor, a job he currently holds. When asked about his path to a position he loves, Mark credits the many mentors he’s had at Flexco, as well as the culture.
“They really value your opinion here and encourage you to speak your mind,” Mark said. “And the culture and values are really important. There isn’t one person here who is too good to do whatever it takes to keep this place running.”
