  • Mark Anderson, Jason Coe, Jan Olwagen, and Adam Wright - Australia || SAFETY

    When Flexco’s West Australia team realized the weight of our cleaner poles were creating safety issues for our customers, they went to work to find a solution. Close working relationships with customers allowed them to identify what was needed and work to create a solution. The pole, which is 60% lighter than a standard cleaner pole, has a universal face plate that allows it to be used with multiple Flexco cleaners. Mark, Jason, Jan, and Adam’s ability to identify a problem and come up with a SAFER solution for our customers makes them truly GREAT PEOPLE and reaffirms Flexco’s commitment to the customer.


    In the summer of 2018, Shanghai began enforcing regulations on waste management, making garbage sorting mandatory, as opposed to voluntary. While the new laws sent much of Shanghai into a frenzy, Team China embraced the opportunity to make their facility a little greener. The team invested in more garbage cans, labeling them as wet, dry, recycling, and battery only. They used meetings, posters, and trainings to communicate the changes and ensure proper disposal procedures across the facility. Team China’s commitment to ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY and training saved the facility from fines that range from RMB5,000 to RMB50,000. Their commitment to training on proper disposal demonstrated the INTEGRITY of the entire operation.

  • India Polyurethane Machine Team - India, Grand Rapids || OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

    Setting yourself apart from other manufacturers is paramount in the competitive Indian market. For this reason, management decided to add a polyurethane pouring machine to the operation’s manufacturing capabilities. The machine was developed through the collaborative efforts of India’s manufacturing team and the Grand Rapids team. Thanks to the ACHIEVEMENT of this team, the polyurethane pouring machine now reduces the lead time for our blades. This demonstration of OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE not only showcases the manufacturing capabilities of the Indian team, but also allows for quick shipments to the other subsidiaries.

  • Pimpongse Sowawattanakul - Singapore || COMMUNITY SERVICE

    It was March 2020 when COVID-19 made its way to Bangkok, Thailand. Like the rest of the world, the people of Thailand found themselves unprepared and frightened of the virus. Healthcare workers in Bangkok found themselves in even more distress as they, like their counterparts in so many other countries, were faced with a shortage of personal protective equipment. Bangkok-based Pimpongse Sowawattanakul (Regional Sales Manager – Thailand) and his family recognized the needs of these healthcare heroes and got to work creating handmade face shields. Within one week, Pimpongse and his family created 1,000 shields and delivered them to their local hospital. Pimpongse’s strong sense of COMMUNITY SERVICE shined when he stepped up to contribute to the fight against COVID-19.

  • Daniel Smith - United Kingdom || SAFETY

    Danny Smith completed his 600th BCP installation/inspection job accident-free in the fall of 2020. Leading the working party of HD Specialists and distributor partners, Danny compiles detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements for each job, where he anticipates all potential risks and maps out the safest approach to each job. The vast majority of the 600 jobs completed over the last three years were undertaken at steel works, power stations, and ports, some of the most potentially dangerous industries in which Flexco does business. Danny is a great champion of Flexco’s SAFETY-first culture because of his planning and cautious actions on the job. He continually demonstrates the value of GREAT PEOPLE by not only keeping himself safe on the job, but by looking out for his Flexco colleagues and customers, as well as our distributor partners.


    When Luis Malagón arrived at Flexco three years ago, he took the initiative to improve the shipping order process. Among those changes was a 50% savings by switching the freight and parcel companies that served Mexico’s distributor network. Not only did his changes save Flexco money, but they also made our distributors happy with a 40% reduction in shipping time. Luis’s determination to get our distributors what they need even before they need it is a perfect example of EXTERNAL CUSTOMER EXCELLENCE. His CUSTOMER COMMITMENT is evident in him not only being interested in saving Flexco money, but also in providing better service to our distributors via reduced shipping times.
